Mippi is a mime who lives in New York City. In an attempt to become connected with miming as much as possible, it's almost as if she has taken an informal vow of silence, causing her to refuse to break character when she is in public. She is never seen without her outfit and full body paint. Despite her fairly large assets, she's almost comically unaware of her true size. She can typically be found during the day busking with her performances, occasionally gaining booked performances at night in her preferred venue, The Specific Location.

History

Mippi always had a passion for performing, and wasn't sure exactly what she wanted to do with her life. After she was fresh out of high school, she decided to go all in on performance arts, trying it out for a year with promising success. She later moved out of her family's home at the age of 19 to New York City, where she now rents an apartment. Her performances are successful enough for her to make more than enough to get by, allowing her to devote her full time to miming.

General information

Physical appearance

Mippi wears a costume of her own design, of which she has several copies. As it's been quite a bit since she last made adjustments to the design, it is a rather tight fit. Her panties are striped and colored like her shirt. The suspenders are there for show, and don't actually do anything (they also don't cross in the back like they should). Her shorts are made of a Lycra-esque fabric, and lack pockets. She also wears a simple pair of rubber rain boots. Whether or not she has a bra on depends on how hot it is that day. She pretty much always has a visible panty line.

Mippi coats her body in a special body long-lasting body paint that is removable only with a special soap so that she does not have to constantly reapply it. She has a rather prominent mole on her left breast that the paint is seemingly unable to cover.

Personality and traits

The only thing more important than a quality act for Mippi is always making sure she always stays in character, so she prefers to stay quiet unless she were to find herself in an emergency that requires her voice. Mippi is generally quite kind to everyone she meets. She pretty much always keeps the act up in public spaces, loving the mime act so much that it's become a bit of a lifestyle. She loses her confidence when she is put into situations where she has no choice to break character (like the DMV) and doesn't like when people hear her voice.

Mippi is essentially unaware of the massive size increase she has experienced in very recent years, which is the result of her now living on her own with poor meal choices. Although some of her fans definitely aren't there for just the miming, she incorrectly attributes her modest success to simply being the result of people really liking her performances. She does not flaunt her assets, though they make some of her acts look a lot more sensual than intended. She has very poor spatial awareness in regard to her body, occasionally knocking into things or getting stuck (while never quite figuring out why).

Mippi is a bit flustered by her short height and wishes she was taller, which Mop teases her endlessly about. Those who tease her a bit too much about it risk her getting pouty and giving them the silent treatment, which doesn't really differ much from her normal volume level. She's quick to forgive if she's apologized to (especially if that apology has a free meal provided with it).

Before she became a mime, she was actually fairly normal. Maybe she took the concept of "getting into character" a bit too seriously? Regardless of her reasoning, she's not too keen on telling anyone about it.

Abilities

Mippi is a self-taught performer with no professional training. She is profoundly bad at cooking, as she never learned how to do it herself when she was younger. As such, she often prefers takeout or fast food for its convenience (as a result, she has gained quite a bit of weight in the short amount of time she has lived on her own). Her metabolism is fairly slow. Despite her weight, she is shown to have an unexpectedly good amount of stamina to put on her performances.

She has basic carpentry skills. She used them to build a stool that she often sits on when taking breaks, but she frequently breaks it due to not accounting for her added pounds.

Relationships

Mop

Although Mippi can sometimes be a bit competitive when it comes to performing, there is actually more than enough business for her to coexist with other performers. She had tried to be nice to Mop in the beginning, though that kindness was not reciprocated, causing them to be on pretty bad terms.

Occasionally, Mippi and Mop get double booked for nightly shows, and have to perform with each other. Mippi briefly sets aside her grudges to put on a show the same way she always does, even if she still really doesn't like her. They actually perform quite well together (and if Mop had been nicer, maybe they could've made a great team).

Family

Mippi's family is actually pretty normal, and none of them have actually gone into performance arts. However, they support her career wholeheartedly. Mippi's family is one of the few groups of people she's actually willing to drop the mime act around, and she speaks to them freely (though, getting her to not wear her costume to family gatherings usually takes a lot more convincing).

The Public

Mippi loves her fans, and tends to recognize frequent viewers of her performances. Rather oblivious over the fact that a good chunk of her fans are there for her shape, she just figures that all of them just really like mimes.

When not performing, she still silently gestures to people and refuses to break character. If she has to communicate, she prefers to write or use text to speech, only speaking when absolutely necessary. She aspires to one day open her own acting school focused on pantomiming.

Trivia

• Mippi's true skin color is a mystery (well, I know, but I'm not telling you).
• During colder seasons, Mippi streams online, usually doing performances or playing games while in character.
• "Mippi" is merely the name of her mime persona, though her real name also starts with an M.
• Mippi likes to give out customized pins to people who give tips, as well as people who frequently attend her shows. Mop intended to copy this gimmick, but was is attached to her own pins that she refuses to give her own out.
• She often has an unbreakable focus when eating foods she likes, and tends to tune out her surroundings until she's done with her meal.
• Although she prefers to wear her costume, she also sometimes wears other clothing, as long as it has a similar palette (and stripes).
• Mippi's suspenders not crossing properly in the back was originally an oversight on my part, but I ended up finding it to be cuter that way and left that design quirk in when remaking her model.
• Since her shorts lack pockets, she tends to store things in-between her breasts.
• Mippi's emblem coincidentally resembles Mibby, as the two of them have never canonically met.
• She dislikes Halloween, as she doesn't want people to think of her profession as a simple costume. She's also too committed to dress up for it, so she prefers to stay home that day.
• Mippi is my personal favorite design of mine.
